Story
Hello, my name is Dotty. I had kind of a rough start in life. Living outside not getting the medical or social attention I need. Due to that sometimes I aggressively seek for attention. My love language is Quality Time and Physical Touch. I can't help it. Now that  I get it from my foster mama, I can't get enough. I'm looking for a family that wants to spoil me. Someone who will allow me to sleep inside and spending lots of time with me. I can be playful and I can also be lazy.  I am in a home with other dogs, but I would love to be the only dog spoiled and 100% of your attention.  I am a "girl power" type of dog and draw my comfort towards females. I will need an assertive human to keep my stubbornness and sass to a bare minimum. I have environmental allergies so my vet says the perfect home would be away from the Houston humid weather.  My adoption fee is $350 locally in Houston, TX and $550 out of state (includes health certificate and travel fees). It includes all my vaccines, spay/neuter, and microchip. Fill out an app at: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=SQYPSGVQJune 15, 2025, 9:18 am

Story
**Available for foster or foster to adopt** Hi I'm KangaRoo but you can call me Roo or RooRoo if you like. My foster mom says I am the sweetest girl that she has ever met and super smart. My foster mom says that I have something called hip dysplasia in both my hips, not sure what that is but that must be why I experience pain. A couple of months ago, I had surgery on my left hip and have healed from that. It has helped me so much with pain, and getting around. My right hip still is not good, and foster mom said she will explain this more to my new family. But from what I understand, I'll just need to keep working on building muscle in my hind legs and doing some stretching. Just like the humans do as they get older.  I am a super smart girl, and already know sit and how to walk on a leash. I do get excited when I see bunnies on walks but all you have to tell me is leave it and I calm down. My favorite things in all the world are walks with my humans, car rides, and to sunbathe. I also like attention from the humans, and I'll talk to you to get your attention.  You can also check out my foster's social media pages to see some more pictures and videos of me. Tiktok- @fosterpuplife Instagram- @fosterpuplife21 Roo is up to date on shots, spayed, microchipped, tested heartworm negative and on monthly preventative. Fill out an app to meet this deserving girl. Her adoption fee is $100 locally in Houston, TX and can be transported out of state for $250 (includes health certificate and travel fee).  Apply for KangaRoo today and see for yourself how sweet and lovable she is!" https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=SQYPSGVQJune 21, 2025, 10:59 pm

Story
Alfie is the golden boy. He’s super sweet and friendly, and at 9YO he deserves somewhere to retire and relax in peace and comfort. He was found as a stray on 4/23 not looking his best. He was missing a lot of fur – particularly along his rump and tail. Poor Alfie was covered in fleas, and was limping on his right rear leg. He also has severe periodontal disease, and his ears had so much wax build up in them that they hurt to be touched. With basic medical care and a little TLC he started looking spiffy in no time! He may be a senior dog, but he’s young at heart when the treats come out! He LOVES his snacks and will jump in excitement for them. He loves to run around the play yard and show off his real goofy nature. He is the sweetest boy and LOVES to give kisses, but is also happy to entertain himself. Alfie is currently staying in a short term foster home where he proved just how much of a good boy he really is. Alfie is potty trained as well as dog, cat, and kid friendly! He loves playing with the other dogs in his foster home, keeping up with the younger puppies without any problems. To Alfie, age is just a number!

Meet Butternut! This sweet, medium-sized boy is full of charm and curiosity. With his adorable, full-sized ears that stand up when he’s alert, he’s hard to miss. Butternut enjoys being petted and loved on, though he’s also content to entertain himself with all the new sounds and toys around him — he might not play with them, but he’s certainly interested in checking them out!He may greet you with a few excited barks through his kennel, but don’t worry, he’s just showing how thrilled he is to see you (he doesn’t mean to sound rude!). Butternut is easy to leash up, walks well, and is generally pretty easy to manage. He absolutely loves treats and takes them gently from your hand, always showing his sweet nature. He knows how to sit on command and has made great strides towards potty training. He may not have mastered any tricks just yet, but with his low to medium energy level, he’s the perfect companion for someone looking for a fun-loving, affectionate dog who’s up for adventures. Come meet Butternut and see for yourself what a lovable boy he is!

Story
Ichabod is the calmest, gentlest soul you’ll ever meet. If you’re looking for a laid-back best friend who will keep your heart full and your days peaceful, he’s your guy! This sweet, low energy dog is the definition of relaxation. He’s not one to run around and get crazy hyper – he’s more into meditation, sunbathing, and lots of naps. He’s a total treat lover and always takes them gently from your hand, showing off his good boy manners. He’ll happily sit on command to earn one too! Walking across the play yard to get a treat is about as active as he’d like to be. He’s friendly and enjoys being pet, but he’s also happy to do his own thing and catch his own vibe if you’re busy. His friendliness extends to other dogs as well! He’s lived well with another large dog while in foster care. Ichabod’s calm demeanor and kind nature make him a perfect fit for just about anyone looking for a low-maintenance, sweet boy who just wants to relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
