Story
** Meet Gavin: Distinguished Gentleman Seeks Forever Staff ** Hello, kind human. My name is Gavin, and I’m a 9½-year-old dreamboat with a dashing brindle coat, a sophisticated gray muzzle, and the wisdom of a dog who knows exactly when it’s time to nap, play, or strut his stuff like he owns the block. Weighing in at a fit 70 lbs. of pure love and class, I’m what the experts call a "good boy"—but I prefer the term exceptional gentleman. I’ve got excellent manners, stellar recall, and I don’t believe in chewing your furniture when you leave. I’m far too refined for that sort of nonsense. I adore kids 10 and up, other dogs, cats, and anyone who tells me I’m handsome (which is everyone, obviously). I love to prance like I'm auditioning for a canine Broadway show, and I’m rarely seen without my favorite slipper in my mouth—I’m not chewing it, just respectfully carrying it like the treasured artifact it is. Leash walks? I glide. Playtime? Let’s go! Couch snuggles? You had me at hello. Whether you’re looking for a loyal hiking buddy or a cuddle connoisseur, I’m your guy. I’m cool being left alone (but don’t be gone too long—I will miss you), and I just want to be near my people. I may be a little seasoned, but I’ve got plenty of spunk and sweetness left to give. Adopt me, and together we’ll make the neighbors jealous. Swipe right on Gavin today. Your slipper may never be lonely again. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please apply online, at https://bigfluffydogs.com/adopt/adoption-application/ then email Debbie@BigFluffyDogs.com Our main website, www.bigfluffydogs.com has more information about us and the rescue process. NOTE TO EMAILERS FROM PETFINDER: WE DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAIL INQUIRIES WITHOUT AN APPLICATION. WE REGRET WE CANNOT RESPOND TO EVERY EMAIL, BUT UNLESS YOU FILL OUT AN APPLICATION, WE DO NOT KNOW YOU EXIST. All known information about an individual dog is provided in its listing. We do our best to provide accurate information, but adopters should understand that each home is different and the dog may behave differently in a new home. Dogs are creatures of their environment and you help make the dog what it will be. Homes considering adopting a puppy must be prepared for 1.) Flexible schedules for potty training. Puppies can only hold it for one hour per month of age (i.e. a 4-month-old puppy can only go 4 hours without a potty break). 2.) Crate training until the puppy is at least one year old to prevent chewing on inappropriate things when you can't supervise. 3.) Socialization. The more positive and varying experiences as a puppy the better, both in and out of your home. 4.) Puppy behavior and life stages are equivalent to a human toddler. It takes at least a full year to have a calmer, well-adjusted dog. Patience is required and when your dog's behavior is a positive experience for you and those around you, your patience will be rewarded ten-fold, for years to come. Please do not consider adopting a puppy if you have not thoroughly thought through the pros and cons of having one. So many people end up returning them after 3-5 months because they didn't realize the amount of work involved in raising a puppy. Patience, appropriate toys, socialization, and obedience training are all musts. All are time-consuming and can be expensive. All dogs require supervision with children and obedience training. Adopters that want to have good dogs must be prepared to put the time and effort into training a dog. Any dog requires work and effort, but a well trained, well-socialized dog is more than worth the effort to get them there.

Story
BUBBA is the sweetest boy you will meet. He is a little timid at first but give him 5 minutes and you will fall in love. He loves playing with children and playing with his toys. He knows commands: Sit, stay, wait a minute, back up, high five, paw, whisper, speak, and hugs. He is 5 years old and understands a lot of what you say. He loves his treats (greenies, coconut oil, salmon, the dog bacon strips, for example) and loves being around people. He has only been around a cat once and he didn't pay it any attention because he wanted to play with the dog that was present.

9 week old Little Bear constantly melts our hearts away with his sweet face and longing stares. He is very affectionate, loves a good cuddle, a long nap, and to be talked to. Story
Meet Dilbert, a 70-lb. Brindle Bucket of Beauty who firmly believes he’s a lap dog. This 2-year-old bundle of love was returned to us after a beloved BFDR Coordinator passed away, and now he’s on the hunt for his forever cuddle buddy. Once Dilbert decides you’re his person, prepare for a Stage 5 Clinger—personal space? Never heard of it. He’s housebroken, great with cats and other dogs, and will follow you around like a shadow (except when he’s busy being scared of his own). Bathroom breaks alone? Not a chance. Dilbert is a little wary of men, so he’ll need a female-only home or a super patient guy who understands "50 First Dates." He’s a backyard enthusiast who’d love a fenced yard, someone home more often than not, and a furry friend to romp with. Bonus Points: He walks on a leash like a total gentleman. He would prefer a home with kids well above the screechy stage (12+) or one that includes a sullen teenager or two. Ready to gain a best friend who’s equal parts sweet, silly, and slightly dramatic? Dilbert’s your guy! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please apply online, at https://bigfluffydogs.com/adopt/adoption-application/ then email Debbie@BigFluffyDogs.com.
